The best tourist destination to see a nice view of the sunset!!
Bakong temple, which is the first mountain temple of sandstone constructed by King of the Khmer empire during the Angkor period, dedicated to Lord Shiva (Hinduism) and the king's own power, and when he entered the temple, this temple was used as his grave. The temple is high on the three floors, which values individualism as a branch of the divine. The outer walls were built from gray stone, there are small temples surrounding the large temple made of lively marble. Also, a number of other smaller buildings are located within the enclosure. Just outside the eastern gopura, there is a modern Buddhist temple. Bakong is one of the largest temples of the Roluos Group, which makes this temple more attractive. Also, tourists should visit this temple in the evening to see a nice view of the sunset. Located at Roluos south of Preah Ko, it’s about 15 km from Siem Reap city.
