Phnom Bakheng temple is an amazing place which well-known for sunset with a beautiful view of the Angkor area. This temple is located on the left side of the way from Angkor Wat temple to Bayon temple, it’s about 8 kilometers from Siem Reap city. Phnom Bakheng temple a Hindu and Buddhist temple in the form of the temple mountain which was built at the end of 9th century by King Yasovarman I, this temple originally have 108 small towers were arrayed around the temple at ground level and on various of its tiers, most of them have collapsed and the seven levels of the monument represent the seven heavens each terrace contains 12 towers which represent the 12-year cycle of Jupiter. Besides, there is a laterite wall around Gopura, which has five divisions, and there are lion statues in each of them. The tourists who want to visit this temple you need to top up to this mountain, approximately 65 meters.
