Ta Prohm is one of the temples in Angkor Complex that looks deference from others. This temple was built in the 12th century by the Khmer King Jayavarman VII, and Ta Prohm temple was originally called Rajavihara. It’s located in the north of Siem Reap about 13 kilometers. Ta Phrom temple was built from sandstone and laterite, and there are 5 rectangular enclosing walls surround a central sanctuary. The most popular of the many strangulating root formations is the one on the inside of the easternmost gopura (entrance pavilion) of the central enclosure, nicknamed the Crocodile Tree. Ta Prohm should be high on the hit list of every visitor.
